Dad

dad-1I’m starting an annual tradition of shooting a portrait of my father at Café Reggio. This wonderful place is located right next to Washington square and is always a delightful way to wrap up an evening. He’s been taking students there for something like 10 years. Last year I shot a portrait of him inside.

I admire my father so much. If end up as half the man he is, I’ll consider myself blessed. He’s taught me to work hard, but to work hard at something I enjoy. In an effective effort to instill responsibility, he and my mother always encouraged us to work for our own finances, with “allowance” being something we heard about from our friends. However, he’s an incredibly generous person and has taught me to give without expectation.

I’m so blessed.
